Starting December 1, 2024, departure taxes for non-residents are increasing by up to 400%. The fee hike will affect travelers across all flight classes, with particular implications for those flying first class or private jets. Additionally, from January 2025, the Maldives will also see an increase in its green tax, further adding to the cost of visiting the archipelago.
